Impermanent Loss (IL) happens when the price of the tokens in your pool changes, causing the value of your LP position to be less than if you had just held the tokens in your wallet.

What is Blockchain?

Blockchain Explained

A blockchain is a public ledger — a list of every transaction ever made, stored across thousands of computers worldwide simultaneously. No single company or person controls it. Once something is recorded, it cannot be changed or deleted.

Decentralized
No central authority. Thousands of independent nodes validate every transaction simultaneously. No single point of failure, censorship, or control.

Every transaction is publicly visible. Anyone can verify any wallet balance or full transaction history using a block explorer like Polygonscan.
Immutable
Once confirmed, transactions are permanent and tamper-proof. Nobody — not even the original developers — can reverse or alter on-chain data.

Mushroom Planet is built on Polygon — a Layer 2 blockchain that extends Ethereum with faster transactions and near-zero fees. All SHROOM, SPORE, and NFT activity happens here.

What are NFTs?

NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token. Unlike SHROOM or SPORE where every token is identical, each NFT is unique and provably owned on-chain. Ownership is verifiable by anyone, at any time, on Polygonscan.

  • ERC-721: one-of-a-kind NFTs — each token ID is unique (Mooshies, Sporebots)
  • ERC-1155: multi-edition NFTs — multiple copies of a token can exist (Farm Boosts, LP NFTs)

Withdrawing to Your Wallet

Withdrawing moves your off-chain SHROOMS or SPORES from the Sporebot database onto the Polygon blockchain into your wallet. This is a real on-chain transaction — it costs a small POL gas fee and requires you to meet holding requirements.

  • !nft — verify NFT holdings to unlock eligibility

Staying Safe in Web3

Crypto is irreversible. There are no chargebacks, no support teams that can undo transactions, and no password resets. These rules are non-negotiable.

  • Never share your seed phrase / recovery phrase — not with anyone, ever, for any reason
  • Write it down offline — never store it digitally (no photos, no notes apps, no email)
  • Verify contract addresses before interacting — use the addresses listed here or on Polygonscan
  • Mushroom Planet will never DM you asking for your wallet or keys
  • Beware of fake links — always go directly to dapp.quickswap.exchange, not links in DMs

Mushroom Planet is a Web3 gaming ecosystem built on the Polygon blockchain. It features two tokens (SHROOM and SPORE), NFT collections, a Discord bot called Sporebot that lets you forage, farm, dig, brew, stake, and earn off-chain, and a Reddit bot that runs a daily forage thread. There is also a governance platform for voting on community proposals. Everything bridges into real on-chain tokens you can trade on QuickSwap.

There are two entry points. On Discord: join the server, verify in #verify, then use !start in #farming to receive 1,000 SHROOMS and begin planting. On Reddit: join r/MushroomPlanet, comment !sprout for a new-user bonus of 1,000 SHROOMS + 100,000 SPORES, then comment !forage in the daily thread every day. No wallet required to start on either platform.

No. You can earn and spend tokens entirely off-chain inside Sporebot forever with no wallet. A wallet is only needed when you want to withdraw tokens on-chain, hold NFTs, or provide liquidity. When you're ready, set up a Polygon-compatible wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet) and register it with !register 0xYourAddress in Discord or Reddit.

Off-chain means your balance lives inside the Sporebot database. Earning from !forage, !farm, tipping, and Reddit upvotes all happen here. No gas fees, instant rewards. On-chain means tokens are on the Polygon blockchain inside your Web3 wallet - truly yours, tradeable on QuickSwap, verifiable by anyone on Polygonscan. You move tokens from off-chain to on-chain by withdrawing.

Yes, and you can link both accounts together. Comment !register 0xYourWallet in the Reddit daily thread first, then comment !link - you'll get a DM from Pixie on Discord to confirm. Once linked you receive a one-time bonus of 20,000 SHROOMS + 2,000,000 SPORES, and you can use !transfer in Discord to move your Reddit balance into your Discord wallet anytime.

Tokens

SHROOM ($HROOM) is the primary utility token - earned through farming, foraging, posting on Reddit, and community activity. It's the token you plant, stake, and withdraw. SPORE (SPR) is the governance token - earned through NFT rewards, farm generation (SGR), staking, and holding SHROOM on-chain. Both are ERC-20 tokens on Polygon, tradeable on QuickSwap, and pegged at a fixed 1 SHROOM = 100 SPORE conversion rate.

Use the Convert page on this website, or use !convert [amount] shrooms or !convert [amount] spores in Discord. The rate is always fixed: 100 SPORE = 1 SHROOM. Conversions are instant and happen within your off-chain balance - no gas fees, no blockchain transaction needed.

Both tokens are available on QuickSwap on the Polygon network. Make sure you're connected to Polygon and using Market (V2) in the Swap tab. You'll need a small amount of POL for gas fees (fractions of a cent). Always use the contract addresses listed in the Blockchain tab of this guide - never buy from addresses sent in DMs. Use !gas in the Reddit daily thread to receive 0.01 POL free if you need gas.

Earning & Gameplay

Main ways to earn SHROOM: Discord - daily !forage, !mist, !fan, !dig, !explore, !toss, and harvesting your farm at Sporulation. Reddit - daily !forage streak (scales up to 6,874 SHROOMS/day at Day 420+), post upvote rewards (500 SHROOMS per upvote on standard posts, up to 5x for original content), and tipping. Tips and airdrops also move SHROOMS between players. The more you contribute, the more you earn.

Use !plant [amount] to plant SHROOMS into your farm. Planted SHROOMS passively generate SPORES every day based on your Spore Generation Rate (SGR). The farm advances through 5 stages over 42 days: Spore, Germination, Mycelium, Fruiting, and Sporulation. When you reach Sporulation, you harvest to rank up and increase your permanent plant limit - then replant to keep earning. Use !farm to see your current farm status and SGR.

SGR (Spore Generation Rate) determines how many SPORES your planted SHROOMS generate per day. The in-game cap is 100%. Sources: Farm Rank (up to +25%), Farm Stage (up to +25%), Potions (up to +20%), 5 Gemstones (up to +25%), Sporebot upgrades (up to +25%). On-chain bonuses stack on top: LP positions, Sporebot NFTs (+1% to +10%), Guwoo NFT (+5%), LP NFTs (+2% to +10%), and your pool share percentage from QuickSwap liquidity.

Staking locks your SPORES off-chain to earn passive rewards at 20% APR and accumulate Mycelium Voting Power (MVP) for governance. Use !stake to get started. Every 100M SPORES staked = 1 Mycelium Node, and each node runs a 90-day cycle - every 90 days earns you +1 additional node. Fast Unstake (7 days) loses ALL MVP. Slow Unstake (42 days) keeps ALL MVP.

New users get a 42-day free trial to farm with no requirements. After that, you must meet ONE of the following to keep farming: hold 500,000+ SHROOM-equivalent on-chain for 3+ consecutive days (100 SPORE = 1 SHROOM equivalent), hold 2 Sporebot NFTs or any 1 Mooshie NFT for 3+ days, or provide LP with a 0.1%+ pool bonus on QuickSwap (qualifies immediately, no waiting period). Use !farm to check your current status.

Every day at 7:20 AM EST a fresh forage thread is pinned to r/MushroomPlanet. Comment !forage once to build your streak and earn SHROOMS + SPORES. Missing a day resets your streak to 0 - protect it with Vacation Days earned every 7-day consecutive streak. Any forage has a 1-in-3000 chance to win the current Jackpot. You can also comment !feed to feed the animals - every 6,874 SHROOMS fed grows your Forage Bonus, and the total fed becomes the Jackpot pool.

The !toss command lets you toss tokens into the community well for a chance at various rewards including the rare Sporulation Jackpot. It's a daily luck mechanic - use it once per day in Discord as part of your daily activity routine alongside !forage, !dig, !explore, and !visit.

Post rewards: Every post on r/MushroomPlanet earns 500 SHROOMS + 50,000 SPORES per upvote. Original content flairs earn 3x or 5x multipliers (e.g. Original Art = 5x). Low-effort flairs earn 0.5x. There's a limit of 15 posts per month - posts beyond that earn nothing. Comment rewards: A monthly pinned thread tracks all your comments across the subreddit - you earn 200 SHROOMS + 20,000 SPORES per upvote, with only your top comment per post counted. Rewards are distributed when the thread closes each month.

NFTs

Mooshies (House, King, Queen) - 200,000 SPORE/day each via Sporebot. Kid Shroom - 20,000 SHROOM + 1.5M SPORE/month on-chain (Feb 2025 - Jul 2026), then joins daily 200K SPORE tier. Gold Mooshie - 15,000 SHROOM + 2M SPORE/month on-chain (Nov 2025 - Oct 2028), then daily 200K SPORE tier. Sporebots (6,874 supply) - unique trait bonuses plus farm access eligibility. Farm Boost Gen 1 & Gen 2 - permanently plants 1,000,000 SHROOMS in your farm. Community NFTs (Guwoo, LP NFTs, Papa Sporewalker, Elder Shroompa) - SGR and gameplay bonuses. Verify any NFT with !nft in Discord.

Register your wallet first with !register 0xYourAddress in #wallet-web3, then run !nft. Sporebot scans your wallet on-chain and updates your profile with detected NFTs and their active bonuses. If your NFTs aren't showing, double-check your registered address with /balance. Only one Sporebot NFT can be active at a time as your in-game companion - use !sporebot to activate and rename it.

A Farm Boost permanently plants 1,000,000 SHROOMS in your farm - those SHROOMS generate SPORES at your current SGR passively forever. The planted SHROOMS cannot be withdrawn - they stay in the farm. If you sell the NFT, the planted SHROOMS transfer to the new owner (you keep all SPORES earned up to that point). Stacking multiple Farm Boosts multiplies your passive SPORE generation. All mint proceeds go to the Sporebot Treasury, which buys SHROOM and SPORE from the open market.

Withdrawals & Wallets

You must meet a holding requirement for 42+ consecutive days: either hold 500,000+ SHROOM-equivalent on-chain (LP does not qualify for withdrawals), or hold 2 Sporebot NFTs OR any 1 Mooshie NFT. Then use !withdraw [amount] shrooms or !withdraw [amount] spores in Discord. Daily limits: 1,000,000 SHROOMS and 100,000,000 SPORES. A small POL gas fee is required.

Common reasons: requirement not held for 42+ consecutive days yet, wallet not registered (!register), NFTs not verified (!nft), daily withdrawal limit already hit, or trying to use LP position to qualify (LP only qualifies for farming, not withdrawals). Use /balance to check your eligibility status and days remaining. If everything looks correct, open a ticket in #support-ticket on Discord.

Yes. Registering only saves your public wallet address (0x...) for on-chain lookups and sending withdrawals. Sporebot never asks for your private key or seed phrase. Your public address is safe to share - it's like a bank account number. Mushroom Planet will never DM you asking for private keys or your seed phrase. Anyone who does is running a scam.

Comment !gas in the Reddit daily forage thread to receive 0.01 POL free - enough for many transactions. This is a one-time gift per user. You can also buy POL on any major exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken) and send it to your Polygon wallet. Gas fees on Polygon are tiny - typically fractions of a cent per transaction.

Liquidity

Provide SHROOM/WETH or SPORE/WETH liquidity on QuickSwap (V2) to earn weekly token airdrops proportional to your share of the pool. Snapshot every Sunday, airdrop sent Monday. Current rates: SHROOM pool = 3.5M SHROOMS/week (Year 2), SPORE pool = 500M SPORES/week (Year 1). Minimum to qualify: 10,000 SHROOM in the SHROOM pool, or 100,000 SPORE in the SPORE pool. Providing LP also immediately satisfies the farm free-trial requirement with no 3-day wait.

Impermanent Loss (IL) happens when token prices change after you deposit into a liquidity pool - the pool auto-rebalances to maintain 50/50 value, so you end up with a different ratio than you deposited. If you had just held the tokens separately, you might have more value. IL is "impermanent" because if prices return to the original ratio, the loss disappears. Weekly LP reward airdrops help offset IL over time. See the Liquidity tab of this guide for a full example.

Governance

Community proposals are posted on the Vote page. Connect your Discord account to cast a vote. Voting is anonymous - your choice is not publicly linked to your username until the proposal closes. Proposals auto-close at their deadline with automatic pass/fail evaluation. Mycelium Voting Power (MVP) is accumulated by staking SPORE - the longer you stake and the more SPORE you stake, the more voting nodes you accumulate.

Post your idea in the appropriate Discord channel. The team and Guardians will review it. If approved, it gets posted to the Vote page for a community-wide vote. Guardians and moderators shepherd proposals through the process. Mods can push approved community votes to "Official Vote" status.
